When we play games with a standard deck of cards, we don’t often think about why exactly each of the face cards in each suit look the way they do. Why is it that the King of Diamonds is the only king holding an ax? Why is the Queen of Spades’ seen holding a knife behind the King of Hearts?
This is a series of illustrated playing cards that brings those small details to light, giving the viewer the chance to find the answers for themselves.
